Neuro-developmental disabilities

Bangladesh is one of the most populous countries in the world. In addition to other disabilities, a large number of children/individuals in this country suffer from autism and neurodevelopmental problems. These people are not able to properly socialize, move, communicate and participate fully in daily activities due to the limited conditions caused by neurodevelopmental differences. Lifelong care is required as a result. Like every citizen, disabled persons have the right to live and live with full dignity or rights. To this end, the United Nations Charter on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) was announced in December 2006, and the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh signed and ratified the United Nations Charter on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. In light of that, the current government has taken effective steps to provide services according to the type and degree of disability through various activities. In this context, the Bangladesh government established a trust in 2014 through the formulation of the 'Neuro-Developmental Disability Protection Trust Act, 2013' to improve the overall quality of life of people with neurodevelopmental disabilities. The trust is undertaking various activities to improve the quality of life of children and persons with neuro-developmental disabilities.
